Privacy policy

This policy covers quietsystems.dev, the presentation site. Each product handles its own account and measurement data under its own privacy policy and data processing agreement.

In short

  • We do not show ads, build profiles, or sell or share data for marketing.
  • The site loads no third-party script, font or embedded player.
  • The only thing stored on your device is the theme you choose.
  • Audience measurement runs on our server with Quiet Metrics and identifies no one.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no advertising cookie and no tracking cookie. It writes exactly one key in your browser's local storage, so that the site does not forget your reading preference between two visits.

Name Type Purpose Kept for
quiet-theme Local storage Remembers the light or dark theme you chose. Never sent to a server. Until you clear your browser data

Nothing else is stored. There is no account on this site, so there is no session cookie either.

Audience measurement

Audience measurement is done with Quiet Metrics, server-side. No identifying cookie is set, your IP address is not stored, and the pseudonymous fingerprint used for counting is derived from a salt that is destroyed every night, so one day cannot be linked to the next. We look at page counts and referrers, nothing that describes a person.

The mechanism is documented in full on the product side: How we count

Emails you send us

There is no form on this site. If you write to contactquietsystems.dev, we keep your message, your address and whatever you chose to tell us, for as long as the exchange is useful and no longer than three years after our last contact. It is used to answer you, and for nothing else.

Account and measurement data

Creating an account, sending events, capturing exceptions or storing a backup happens inside a product, not here. Each product publishes its own privacy policy and its own data processing agreement, and each is the document that applies to your data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to its processing. Write to privacyquietsystems.dev; we answer within one month. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French supervisory authority.

Data related to this site and to the products is hosted in France and is not transferred outside the European Union.
